Reports to: People & Culture Director

Compensation: $55,000 Annually
 

The Opportunity

The HR Coordinator exists to integrate and execute the day-to-day operations of the HR function while the People Director focuses on strategy. This seat supprots the systems, processes, and execution that ensure HR runs accurately, consistently, and without gaps as BIORAY scales.

This role produces clean payroll, reliable employee data, consistent recruiting outcomes, and structured employee relations processes. It ensures that HR is not reactive, but a dependable operational engine that supports managers, employees, and organizational growth.

What the Role Entails

This seat supports the execution of HR operations across payroll, employee data, recruiting, compliance, onboarding, and performance processes. The work requires precision, consistency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance. This role ensures that managers are supported, employees are processed correctly, and HR systems operate as a structured and reliable function that scales with the business.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the employee relations processes consistently, with clear documentation and proper escalation when required
  • Guide managers through performance conversations, corrective actions, and people decisions with clarity and structure
  • Run payroll accurately and on time with zero errors or delays
  • Maintain a clean, accurate, and up-to-date HRIS with complete employee records
  • Own full cycle recruiting and onboarding processes that deliver qualified candidates and consistent hiring experiences.
  • Maintain compliant and timely administration of FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and related processes
  • Deliver a consistent and structured onboarding experience for all new hires
  • Support performance management cycles with accuracy, timeliness, and organizational alignment
  • Manage multiple HR priorities simultaneously without loss of accuracy or follow-through

Role Requirements

  • Experience running payroll systems with high accuracy and compliance
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and maintaining employee data integrity
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruiting processes and applicant tracking systems
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and related compliance requirements
  • Ability to work in an in-office environment in Irvine, CA
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
